艰难的英语竞赛

　　2月28日上午，学校组织了英语竞赛。

　　我急急忙忙走进考场，只见其他同学已经整整齐齐地坐在考场里了，而且正认真看考题。于是，我赶紧坐好准备应试。低头一看整整三页纸，啊！这么多考题，我心里暗自一惊。

　　刚一落座，教室外的铃声响了，考试开始。监考老师宣布可以做题了。

　　同学们开始动笔答卷。教室内十分安静，只有监考老师来回走动的声音，和同学们答题的沙沙声。前三道题比较简单，我轻而易举地就做完了，一切都是那么顺利。

　　第四道题是选择题，看着容易做起来难。看着括号后面的四个答案，我不敢轻易下笔，选错了可是要扣分的，我思考着如何选择。看看旁边的同学，也是愁眉苦脸的，十分着急。唉！都怪我平时读英语书马马虎虎的，囫囵吞枣，不求甚解，要不今天怎能感到吃力呢？还是跳过这只“老虎”赶紧做后面的题。

　　第五道题是判断题，在每个句子后边打钩或打叉，然后指出有错误的地方，又是一只“大老虎”。怎么办？不能再让这只“老虎”跑掉，要拿出武松打虎的精神打掉这只“大老虎”。我按照平常做题的思路，认真判断每一道题，很快就打掉了这只“纸老虎”。我加快速度做完后面的题，然后再返回来攻克最后一个难关??选择题，真是功夫不负有心人，我终于做完了选择题，又是一只“纸老虎”被打掉。

　　最后十分钟了，监考老师提醒同学们加快答题速度，答完题的同学要仔细检查。有的同学长长的叹了口气，如释重负；有的同学抓耳挠腮，眉头紧锁还有的同学停笔检查，已是成竹在胸；我也开始仔细检查每一道题，心里还是忐忑不安。

　　哎！这一次艰难的英语竞赛已结束。但选择题和判断题能全对吗？我心里没有十分的把握。
